Internet Safety –

I had several students in my Internet Safety classes. We talked about Cyber Bullying, see post below and how to stay safe while chatting, emailing, instant messaging, or other electronic communications. It is staggering the number of children and adults that give out personal information to complete strangers online. We talked about some of the ways you can stay safe and avoid being a victim of a crime or bullying online. Some of the comments my students wrote were that if you insist on meeting someone you only know online, take an adult with you. You will know perhaps more about their intentions if the person doesn’t show. Another group of students talked about the fact that you should never share personal information online. Summer Plans?

What are your summer plans?  I just moved into a new apartment, so I will spend some time reorganizing and redecorating.  I also plan to teach summer school and spend time with my niece and nephew.  They are so fun!!

 

Places You Would Most Like to Visit & Why?

Tell me about the places you would most like to visit and why.  I have always wanted to go to Italy to see Ancient Roman ruins and visit where early Christians such as the apostles walked once a upon a time. 

 I would also like to visit our nation’s capitol.  I have seen it in person, but I would like to visit inside.  Our laws are made and repealed here.  I love history and seeing how people and cultures change.

 

Saving a Precious Natural Resource

As summer rapidly approaches us many cities are on water restrictions due to draught conditions.  What can you or people in your neighborhood, church, or local businesses do to conserve water.

 

1. Businesses should be fined if their water sprinklers are watering the sidewalk or street.
