The most amazing thing that has happened to her occured last year.  As I transported her back to school at the beginning of the year in her acquarium.  She fell off her transportation.  The entire acquarium was shattered.  The rocks and fossils were scattered and a thick layer of dirt covered her so much I thought she had been crushed.  She rose out of the dirt and flipped herself over.  She had damaged one of the joints that joined one of her front legs to her cephalothorax.  It began to ooze.  After the millipede incident, I knew that this was extremely bad for her.  I scooped her up and put her in another tank as I prepared another one for her.  She was very still, but eventually went to a corner of the acquarium and propped her injured leg up against one of the glass corners.  She stayed there not moving for several hours or a day or so.  I expected to come in the next morning and find her dead.  She was still propped up in the corner most of that day and part of the next.  She managed to keep the body fluids from leaking out of her body till she was somewhat healed.  I was amazed at her survival skills!
